DESCRIPTION:\nMeeting will be held via Zoom.  Log-in information will be sent prior to the program.\n \nProgram Description:\n \nLawyers are circling artificial intelligence tools, with a healthy amount of skepticism.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that – that’s how businesspeople should view new technology, of any kind.  But, lawyers are particularly risk-averse; and, don’t like operating in gray areas.  That’s a problem with AI – because, an attorney’s use of artificial intelligence seems like nothing but gray areas.\n \nBut, is that actually true?  Is AI like the Wild West for law firms?\n \nNot exactly.\n \nThere are a number of ethics opinions and bar association guidance documents that have been published, at this point.  And, there appears to be general agreement on some issues.  Now, even though AI technology continues to change, and even as attorneys’ uses of these platforms continue to evolve – there are something like best practices coalescing, which attorneys can observe.\n \nIn this program, we’ll discuss the latest in the world of AI ethics for lawyers, and how that affects day-to-day legal practice.\n \nTopics to be addressed include:\n \n-review of existing AI ethics opinions & guidance\n \n-practical uses of AI in law practice\n \n-managing ‘hallucinations’ & other risks of using AI\n \n-the value of AI for law firms\n \n-future considerations for the use of AI in legal practice\n \nPresenter:\n \nJared D.
