Global Market Update for 2016

American Funds, one of the oldest and most recognized investment companies in the country will provide Members with the global market update for 2016. You don’t have to settle for average rates of return. Evidence shows that a select group of active managers have done better than market indexes over time.

Bill Flannery, Sr. Vice President of American Funds will discuss two criteria that can enhance portfolios. Low expenses and high manager ownership can aid the pursuit of higher returns.

Mr. Flannery will also discuss how clients can work closely with their advisors and shift  all or part of a portfolios' core investment strategies to improve outcomes.

Bill Flannery is a wholesaler and Senior Vice President for American Funds Distributors, Inc., covering Rhode Island, Southeastern and Central Massachusetts.  Prior to joining American Funds in 2003, Bill was a Vice President and wholesaler for Fidelity Advisors where he covered Connecticut and Long Island.  He has 25 years of experience as a mutual fund wholesaler.

Bill received his Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Agriculture and Business from the University of Maine at Orono.  He holds FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses along with insurance licenses in MA and RI.

Bill lives in Central Massachusetts with his wife and two children.
