Meeting will be held via Zoom. Log-in information will be sent prior to the program.
Program Description:
With the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) bringing significant changes to tax rules for 2025, now is the time to review your year-end planning. Whether you donate regularly, manage a nonprofit, advise others, or simply want to make the most of your charitable contributions, understanding how the new law affects giving strategies is essential.
Join KLR’s Tax Partner, Laura Yalanis, for a practical session on year-end planning opportunities you can still take advantage of before December 31st. Laura will cover how OBBBA may influence charitable giving, estate strategies, retirement planning, and trust and estate tax considerations.
Topics will include:
- Charitable Giving Strategies Under OBBBA - How updated rules affect deductions, AGI limits, donor-advised funds, appreciated assets, qualified charitable distributions (QCDs), and year-end “bunching” strategies.
- Estate Planning Updates - Annual exclusion gifts, “topping off” lifetime gift amounts, and what OBBBA means for planning heading into 2025.
- Income Tax Planning for Trusts & Estates - Key changes to brackets and planning moves that may help reduce or shift taxable income.
- Retirement Plan Contributions and Distributions - Year-end opportunities involving contributions, RMDs, Roth conversions, and charitable planning through retirement accounts.
